Queer Elders

A devised piece about queer elders.

The theme comes from a personal curiosity for inter-generational aspects of community, but also stems from the fact that especially in theatre a lot of the queer themes explored are coming-out/coming-of-age stories or stories set in/around the AIDS crisis. The AIDS crisis has left a huge impact on our community and is one of the reasons why nowadays there aren‘t a lot of elders around.

But what about those who are still around? What about the people who survived, thrived and lived full lives? What about the people who came out later in life and are now happily living their truth?
