A Streetcar Named Desire
Theatre Paradok presents A Streetcar Named Desire. Tennessee Williams’ much celebrated masterpiece follows arguably the most psychologically complex female protagonist in contemporary theatre. In a hot, sultry summer, Blanche DuBois arrives to the home of her sister, Stella and tensions reach boiling point between Blanche and her sister’s domineering husband, Stanley. Estranged from her old life, Blanche grapples with past traumas and a disintegrating relationship with herself, as the lines that run between reality and imagination become increasingly intertwined.
